I Am David Sparkle

We started our life in 2001 as a 10-legged beast. there were five spirits then: edryan hakim, yamani ismail, zahir sanosi, djohan johari and amran khamis.
We took our name from the outlandish malaysian disco singing legend m. daud kilau, who is still remembered to this day - for reasons good and bad. we just think we dress better.
along the way, we did lose some legs but we also made some new friends who had decided that they will come and make noise together with us for a while. redzuan hussein and nick chan: we love you for that.
7 years on, we are now a different animal altogether, smaller in size and weighing less. we have put out 2 records so far and although we have been slow, we think there could be many more to come.
People voted us as the ‘best alternative act’ at the motorola superstyle music awards in april 2007 and winning that made us blush. you have been so sweet.
Right now our music has spread to places outside singapore such as malaysia, australia, the USA, japan, hong kong and sweden amongst other places. we thank you for listening, and we hope you will never stop.
